Tobacco smoke as well as environmental pollutants, infections, physical activity and nutritional status play a role in the prevalence, development and/or progression of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Changes in lifestyle are possible and may be beneficial in prevention and comprehensive management of COPD.
