ERS MCQ app now updated with extra questions

The ERS MCQ app for iPhone and iPad has been updated with extra questions from Self-Assessment in Respiratory Medicine. It now features 200 multiple-choice questions and answers with explanations, available to buy in modules of 10.

The app is designed as a self-assessment and training tool and has two modes: learning mode, which allows you to answer, see your result and try again; and “exam” mode, which allows you to treat the modules as mini-exams, against the clock. Answers are provided with full explanations to help with the learning process.

In “exam” mode, the app is accredited by EBAP for one CME credit per module.

You can download the app, with an initial free module of questions, from the Apple App Store by searching “ERS MCQ” or going to https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ers-mcq/id981846193.

ERS Monograph: Interventional Pulmonology Edited by Felix J.F. Herth, Pallav L. Shah and Daniela Gompelmann

The role of bronchoscopy in the evaluation and treatment of respiratory disease has evolved dramatically over the last decade. Originally a tool for examining and sampling the central endobronchial tree, it has broadened considerably to include techniques that now enable the treatment of an increasing number of conditions. In this ERS Monograph, the Guest Editors make this broad area easy to navigate by separating the book into three sections: technical aspects, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions. Within these sections, leading authors in the field provide chapters on: flexible and rigid bronchoscopy, bronchoscopy in intensive care, laryngoscopy, biopsy techniques, EBUS and EUS, cryobiopsy, early cancer therapies, airway stents and much more.

A wide range of ERS books, including the ERS Monographs, ERS Handbooks and European Lung White Book, are available online at www.ersbookshop.com and www.erspublications.com
