  • “Post partum female with sudden-onset breathlessness.” Deokar K, Niwas R, Chawla G, et al. Breathe 2020; 16: 190366 (https://doi.org/10.1183/20734735.0366-2019) - December 01, 2020

The Chief Editor, publisher and authors wish to retract this case report published in the June 2020 issue of Breathe.

This case report discusses the same patient case as that reported in Deokar K, Niwas R, Chauhan N, et al. Defying the paradigm — rescue thrombolysis in a postoperative patient with pulmonary embolism. Adv Respir Med 2020; 88: 37–38 (https://doi.org/10.5603/ARM.2020.0079). The authors have confirmed that the Breathe report contained an error and the patient was in fact 21 years of age (as indicated in the Adv Respir Med case report). To avoid duplicate reports of the same case in the published literature we wish to retract the case report in Breathe.

Breathe is a journal member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and, in retracting this article, has acted in accordance with the guidelines of COPE.

The authors are in agreement with the outcome of this process, and apologise to the readers of Breathe.
