“The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there [1]”. And we will be doing things differently in the future too. So, how does a continuing education journal address changes in medical practice, distil new research developments and inform trainees, while stimulating the interest of established practitioners and researchers? This is a tall order, but the goal of Breathe from its inception has been to provide quality peer-reviewed, up-to-date educational material to support respiratory professionals in their daily practice, and make the rich educational resources of the ERS more widely available
