Breathe is the clinical educational publication from the European Respiratory Society. It is published quarterly and is free to access for all in order to bring high-quality educational material to a wide audience.
Breathe publishes original review articles covering topics from basic science to up-to-date best practice, editorials covering forthcoming meetings and other events, case studies covering useful clinical situations that may arise, self-tutorial material, details of activities from the Early Career members of the ERS, literature summaries highlighting the hot topics among published material.
All Breathe articles are free to read, share and reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial License 4.0 which permits all non-commercial uses provided the source is cited.
ERS is a participant in LOCKSS and CLOCKSS to support permanent archiving of content.
Breathe is currently indexed on the Directory of Open Access Journals, CINAHL, the Emerging Sources Citation Index and PubMed Central. The current Impact Factor of the Breathe is 2.3.
